Boring as shit and all the good users have either left or got banned. Honestly, I am down to bring back the days where JG5 spammed his shitty memes and insurgent making dozens of troll alt accounts.

Both, in fact! It’s built into our psychology. As racial diversity increases in a community, interpersonal trust decreases. It’s not just that we don’t trust people who *don’t* look and act like us. In diverse communities, we don’t trust people who *do* look and act like us.

> “They don’t trust the local mayor, they don’t trust the local paper, they don’t trust other people and they don’t trust institutions. We hunker down. We act like turtles. The effect of diversity is worse than had been imagined.” **~ Dr. Robert Putnam**, Harvard [study](https://archive.md/EWuyl) on multiculturalism

This lavishly funded study of over 30,000 participants showed that racial diversity in a community corresponds to:

* Less [confidence](https://archive.fo/DLMf5) in local government, leaders, and news
* Less [political](https://archive.fo/bS8Mi) efficacy/confidence
* Less [likelihood](https://archive.fo/0Gc6s) to vote
* More protests and calls for [social](https://archive.fo/ebcm2) reform
* Less expectation of cooperation in times of crisis
* Less confidence in community [cohesiveness](https://archive.fo/AaFfB)
* Fewer contributions to the [community](https://web.archive.org/web/20140406232041/https://emilkirkegaard.dk/en/wp-content/uploads/School-Choice-Universal-Vouchers-and-Native-Flight-from-Local-Schools.pdf), monetary or social
* Fewer close friends
* Fewer [charitable](https://archive.li/QqspI) contributions
* Less volunteering
* Lower perceived [happiness](https://archive.md/DG3Z8)
* Lower perceived quality of life
* More time spent indoors, watching TV
* More dependence on TV for entertainment
* Lowered [trust](https://archive.fo/3chLU) in the community
* Lowered altruism
* More ethnic-based [cohesion](https://web.archive.org/web/20200211014052/https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0049089X14001392)
* More interethnic [violence](https://archive.ph/GBNSV)

Naturally, you prefer people who look like you–in other words, your own racial/ethnic group. This isn’t a cultural phenomenon, nor does it result from a lack of exposure to other races. By nine months, babies can better [recognize](https://archive.li/HLcsr) the faces and emotional expressions of people who [belong](https://archive.li/RrSC2) to their own ethnic group.

Studies of the brain have revealed that when you [view](https://archive.is/8vIO9) someone of another ethnic group, *you don’t internally model their behaviors*. The brain goes so far as to *not model anything at all*. It doesn’t want to waste resources supporting something that might be *detrimental to its survival*. Supporting your race above other races is both healthy and natural. A healthy society is monocultural and homogenous–that’s what forms a nation.

Even at the community level, racial diversity strongly correlates with negative social effects “Multiculturalism”–the act of multiple races sharing a living space–[harms](https://archive.md/RDuDv) everyone [involved](https://archive.md/DG3Z8). The ratio of the races doesn’t matter. Whether there’s a clear majority, a plurality, or an equal number of a variety of races, the results are the same.

I've never thought about the idea that multiculturalism makes you distrust your own race as well, but I can vouch for that, sad.
