The "don't read too much" is because a lot of books aren't even worth reading and the ideas in them can be condensed into a pamphlet instead of a 500 page tome.

that is what I was thinking. I read tonnes because I listen to audiobooks at work and almost all of it is time tested classics. Most of my peers on amount of reeding read modern goyslop stuff and they are no different than tv watchers except maybe slightly more discipline
