If the power goes out for 2 weeks the country collapses.

Did the math -- need 60 days minimum.

The issue is there are provisions in each city that create hubs of comfort, recharge phones, food, etc. The real "terror" that things may not recover and scarcity is extended several times, is when suicides and violence flourishes.

Even then it needs to be sustained another 180 days to actually create communal isolation groups and notion of one race collaborations as defense.
