This is where I'm at. I haven't kept up with what's coming down the pipe in a long time. Even a lot of the indie projects I'm following I lost interest in.
Gaming was best in the late 90's early 2000's. Online play peaked a bit after that. It's been downhill since.

I watched it fall. I even dare say I was inside the collapse. I remember gamergate and those two insufferable cunts that spearheaded the movement. Zoie the foid and some other dyke.
All the sudden I started seeing stupid shit pushed into gaming that had nothing to do with gaming. Muh representation, muh diversity, muh faggotry!
All I play now is Company of Heroes, the greatest RTS ever made. Panzer Elite and Wehrmacht win every time.
Yup. I’m just glad I was old enough to enjoy, and remember the NES through Xbox 360 years.
Edit: I forgot my dad had an Atari 2600 too. I played if for a couple of years, but I was very little. I use to love pole position and dig dug. Hehe.
First PC experience was the family Macintosh Performa. Zoombinis, Dark Forces and Around the World in 80 Days lol
