There’s a really popular meme titled “are we the baddies” and it comes from a comedy sketch whose only point is that SS troops have skulls on their uniforms. Leftists make a similar argument when they criticize Starship Troopers - you ask them to point out any actual fascism in the movie and one of the things they list is the uniforms.
…meanwhile, how many examples have you seen of demonic or otherwise downright evil symbology on ostensibly “the good guys” - how many politicians were joking about moloch in the pizzagate emails? Remember the Oracle CEOs sailboat? Remember the Obama portrait?
Maybe the SS having a skull on their uniform isn’t that big of a deal. Maybe anyone who points it out as part of an “are we the baddies” meme should open their eyes and look around a bit.

I recall watching it a loooong time ago, was it not just some cheesey B-movie?
I thought it must be an obscure thing when I watched it, so I am surprised to see people talking about it now.
