Karmelo admits to the arresting officers that he admitted to murdering Austin, and asked one of the officers if what he did could be considered "self defense". Karmelo was sitting under one of the tents on the bleachers meant for Austin's school (there were several tents for various schools on the bleachers), a tent that Karmelo didn't belong to. Austin asked Karmelo to leave. Karmelo refused, and taunted Austin "touch me and see what happens". Austin touched Karmelo and asked him to move again, and Karmelo told Austin to punch him, and see what happens. Austin tried to physically move Karmela, which is when the nigger pulled a knife out of his bag, stabbed Austin in the chest, and fled the scene.


I've heard from others than Karmelo was going from tent to tent, trying to steal things, which is probably why he had a bag with him. I'd also heard Karmelo was skipping school at the time, and didn't belong at that track meet. But, the linked police reports don't mention this. If true, this will all come out in the trial.


This is, unfortunately, another time where White people don't treat blacks with enough discernment and personal safety (i.e. they relaxed). Judging by how Austin's father immediately forgave his son's murderer, it's easy to see that Austin was raised in a race blind home.


Be careful out there brothers. Don't become a statistic.
