Willow Run was a new facility, not a conversion of an existing facility. The government was spending infinite fiatbux for planes and severely restricting automobile purchases, you had to get special government permission to buy a new car during WW2. So Ford would've gone bankrupt if he didn't produce military hardware and all of the more kosher, FDR friendly businesses would've taken over his share of the economy. Ford was a wealthy and powerful man, but sadly not wealthy or powerful enough to destroy degeneracy and provide America with the TKD & TND that it needs.
