The Left doesn't consistently stand for much of anything beyond normalizing degeneracy. Capitalism is something that they are commonly thought to consistently oppose, and yet we are reminded again that they do not consistently oppose that, either.

When the likes of Reagan, Thatcher, and Canada's Mulroney supported free trade in the name of the Right, Leftists were against it, like the Liberal Party of Canada, then under John Turner, which campaigned against NAFTA.

When Trump opposes free trade in the name of the Right, Leftists suddenly become the heirs of Adam Smith, Murray Rothbard, Thatcher, Reagan, etc. Instead of saying 'I don't like Trump, but at least I agree with him on this point', they mindlessly play oppositionism. 'I can't stand Trump, so when Trump is for X, I'm for the negation of X.'

Probably the first time I began to realize this was during Covid. How can anyone say that he's 'anti-capitalist' when he's a walking advertisement for big pharmaceutical companies like Moderna and Pfizer, having their company names and similar nonsense like 'Fauci Ouchie' tattooed on his arm?
