Tariffs aren’t why the Soytendo Switch is overpriced, it’s because Nintendo is just a greedy cryptojew company. $450 for the console, $80-90 for every game, plus like $20 for Nintendo internet. Fuck that.

Microsoy deserves the blame for starting that trend, Nintendo actually held off on it the longest to their credit, though they still decided to sell their crappy Wi-fi service in the end.

Yeah, Switch Online kinda ruined the Switch for me. It was an innovative console, finally succeeding where the PS Vita failed due to poor marketing and a lack of game selection, but the removal of the free online was 10 steps backward. What they should have done is just made it a subscription service for game emulation of older titles and maybe a rotation of new titles, but charging for network play is literal double dipping.
