Greeks and Romans, descendants of Japheth, had forgotten God and lost contact. But they seeked truth. When they heard God's Word, they quickly accepted it. The jews and Israelites had lived with God's Word, seen His miracles, and witnessed prophecy fulfilled. Many still rejected it, they seeked deception and lies. Two entirely different people.

Bingo.

Now, let's go to the Romans and ask them what they thought of the pagan gods. Or the Greeks.

When you dig into their actual thoughts on things, you realize that they had a tremendous amount of truth. Where they got it from is unclear. The Romans had these ancient writings that they believed predicted all future events -- if read by someone who had the right reason and ability to read them.

Oh, an early Christianity was not unfamiliar to Romans and Greeks. They weren't just speaking the same language, the ideas were very similar. They lacked a small bit of truth that Jesus revealed through his life, and then everything "clicked".
