Another option is to go in half, or even threesies with some family or friends. I did this growing up with consoles growing up starting with the SNES, and Genesis. Me and a childhood friend would always make sure to ask for the opposite console for Christmas and birthday(console would be gift combined for both), and then swap every month or so. I think the only two consoles I ever owned on my own was the original NES, and the Dreamcast. The Dreamcast got passed around like a whore though once we learned how to pirate everything. Lmfao.
