I think the console will do "okay", because unlike the Wii U it actually has software.
However, it's 100% the wrong game console for a massive economic downturn. The fence sitting consoomer doesn't have money for a console with detatchable double-mice and other such gimmicks.

And like the Wiii U, the switch 2 will probably bomb unless nintendo lays up on the price increase for its games. I dont think Wii U games were any more pricey than their Wii counterparts, whereas the switch 2 seems to be chasing the industry trend of trying to catch up with inflation, without realizing that wages havent kept up and no one has the money to blow on $80 console games. Steam will be laughing all the way to the bank while consoles price themselves out of existence.
Yeah, sadly consumerism has killed the gaming industry, people get exactly what they tolerate, and what theyve tolerated is cruddy monetization because FOMO is a heck of a drug.
I mean I will say I at least had fun with the Wii u that actually has one of my favorite versions of assassin's Creed Black flag. The graphics certainly weren't as good on the Wii u but having that touch screen for things like the map when it came to navigateing or your inventory and wind waker was kind of a nice feature
But I also waited for a while to get it until they came out with The wind waker HD bundle

The main issue with the wii u was just that it was a shitty console in general.
It had the whole wii library, true, but not much else. Very few non-nintendo games, and even Nintendo kind of forgot the damned thing existed.
Gamepad had virtually no function because you had to be next to the console to use it. I mean, it was cool if someone else wanted to use the TV. That's it. It wasn't worth buying if you already had a wii. It was only a better console if you didn't have a wii. The problem: everyone and their fucking mother had a wii.
The switch 2 is objectively a better machine. But Nintendo is... overreaching all the same. The price for the system is... expensive. But okay, well look past this. Maybe it has capabilities like PS and Xbox consoles. Ah, nevermind. The games cost 80-90 dollars. It's going to have a limited library again like every Nintendo product. You can spend 100 more, buy a steam deck, and play every game that exists, from the steam library. No Brainer.
The switch was actually a fun and innovative concept. It wasn't priced too badly. It had a good amount of games. It was really nintendo's next wii. With a lot less shovelware than the wii had to boot. As fun as it is to shit on nu males for how much they loved it, it was actually a good system. The switch 2 will be their next wii u.
Meaning at the very least several years down the line I should be able to pick one up super cheap lol I just saw a couple on eBay complete in box for around $100
Nintendo has kept their market share by being the "family friendly" option for consoles, IE their products are inexpensive and have lower specs than the competition but generally long lasting. Inflation raising the price on everything and dwindling populations of people who care to consume video games might hurt them, as well as the fact a lot of their franchises (*cough* Pokemon *cough*) are very stagnant and cookie cutter at this point.
Yeah I was kind of doing some quick math on it State side and I'm somebody that I used to always get a couple extra controlers with a game console for either recharging the battery of the one I was using or having company. So what's the switch I got the bass console with Mario Odyssey and Breath of the wild two pro controllers and an extra set of joy cons. It was a decent amount of money to drop but it felt reasonable for what I was getting. Now if I were to buy just the console with a single game and a pro controller I would be at over $700 US with tax
It’s unfortunate, but this is the only thing the overwhelming majority of white males flock to and can “depend” upon. I haven’t gamed in about 10 years due to all the obvious bullshit, but everyone I use to game with still does, and I just can’t understand it. The funniest part of it all is that I’m the only one of our “gamer group” unmarried, and without kids, and/or divorced, but I’m also the only one who stopped wasting exorbitant amount of time, and money on gaming. It’s crazy to watch how much time these people still game even though they have children. It’s scary. This is almost exclusively whites I’m talking about too.
Not sure if true, but a buddy of mine said they nixxed the OLED panel is so, that’s fucking awful, and shows that they’re doing to just milk it again down the line. I know the difference between OLED, and LCD first hand, and it’s huge both in image quality, and response time. Good thing I don’t game anymore, and don’t intend to anytime soon.

I'm not even sure the addicts can keep up with these prices.
Nintendo was coopted around the same time as the mario movie.
Nintendo has fallen Japan bowed to the tengu.
The idea of the switch is dead with steam deck and affordable emulation. You can just emulate switch games on the steam deck.
Nintendo's last hope was a full fledge console that could actually play the games they make without constant lag at 15 fps.
Switch 2 will be gay. One of the launch releases is BOTW enhanced edition. lol. Because it runs like shit on the switch 1. So buy it again faggot goy!
