> Giovanni Battista Bugatti (1779–1869) was the official executioner for the Papal States from 1796 to 1864.
> Bugatti referred to his executions as "justices" and the condemned as "patients".
> The first guillotining took place on February 28, 1810. A woman who had murdered her husband with poison when she found out that he had a lover was executed.
This is what they did 200 years ago for a mere poisoning. Now we have these "Christians" on TV going on about forgiveness. "Loving your enemy" means that you don't want him to go to hell, but that doesn't mean that punishment shouldn't be done in order to scare off future delinquents.
