Booby trapping bike trails with wire is a crime punishable by a lengthy prison stay, and if he were on a motorcycle the wire could have decapitated him, as a cyclist it could have sent him flying backwards, breaking a few bones. Depends on how thick the line is, but it's probably pretty thick fishing line I'd imagine.

But of course the perps were a couple fucking yids in their 2nd home (jew York city) so nothing will ever happen.
