Public school teacher I am.

And I'm in it for a couple of reasons. First off, you gotta be the change you want to see, these are the trenches of the culture war we live in and if we don't have soldiers in it fighting back that tide, we lose.

I had a really bad experience in school. I was poor white trash and they wrote me off and never let me have a shot. I entered the system to give poor white trash kids a teacher that looks after them the same way all the kids I grew up beside had. I'm there to equalize that out for those who can't. That's why i put up with the admin bs. That's why i put up with the rest. Because if I'm not there to fight for those guys, no one will be. If I'm not there to give them "that teacher" they won't have one.

Good for you. This is what real "activism" looks like: strengthening yourself so you can strengthen those around you, making your community and people better one White child at a time. Keep up the good work, fren!
