I'm torn.
On one hand, a nation needs to be defended, if everyone refused to join the military then we'd be conquered very soon.
In an ideal world every man would be in the military and defending his nation and his nation's nation-state.
On the other hand, our governments are using the military for foreign interests, especially the American government.
I don't think joining the National Guard is a bad idea, but the best move is joining a nationalist organization you believe in and becoming an activist.
