A ton of what you're saying is overblown. The IDF doesn't train our cops. From what I can find, there's like maybe a thousand cops who did that, and there's like half a million cops in the country.
And frankly I don't really care if they want to waste time learning Krav Maga gimmicks. That the IDF is some badass organization is a total fantasy. The whole "Israeli Carry" is literally because their military is comprised of retarded conscripts that kept shooting themselves in the leg. Krav Maga is mediocre self defense, kind of just the same thing as a woman's self defense course.
So I think I'd guess that training would make cops less effective since the IDF is a clown show.
On the flip side I will point out to you characters like Sonny Puzinkas. He's that retard who sells his "Spetsnaz" training to civilians and it's a total joke. Kind of to that specific point, the whole LARPing tacticool badass image is sold by tons of people to any agency or civilian willing to pay them, and typically it's a hilarious embarrassment.

And this goes back to the question you refused to answer: "who is going to be a cop then, you?" Because it'd be mighty funny to watch you go 'wait my job was to just enforce the laws, that's all I did' before facing a firing squad because even though legally you did nothing wrong, some random person arbitrarily changed their mind and decided you are a demon for doing it. Oh and nobody tells you when they change their mind, you just get to die.
The only laws they enforce is what ever installed government official is holding office has the opportunity to install what ever chief of police they want and enforce what ever criminality they want under disguise of “doinn mer jerb” knowing full well that is criminal. The only laws your are supposed to enforce are ones that are not repugnant to the original founding father’s documents.
