Were the Aztecs actually capable of stone cutting? Did they build the pyramids in Mexico used in their massive sacrifices? Were they capable of mathematics?
I bring this up because the Incans were not stone cutters. Their own legends say they came upon the great city on the mountain.
Did the Aztecs believe their gods were white? It is said that Cortez was believed to be a god at first. Why would they think that?
2 things. Either the Aztecs were shit and the theory of white people essentially starting every single culture is true, or the Aztecs were not shit and were building an empire that would eventually be a problem. If they were shit, and white people created their temples and all that shit, what happened to them? Where did they go? In all of our recorded interactions with other races, the other races always try to kill white people off. So, the conquistadors would be enacting revenge. Now let's do Aztecs that can cut stone. By God, these savages are cannibals and can build cities. It's just a matter of time before they build ships.
