You can get everything you need to become a monster piece by piece overtime for under 1k. Just hit up FB marketplace. Start with body weight shit, and move on to some KBs and sandbags if you’re limited on space, and then you can find an Olympic set, and a used rack of you have room. Still unnecessary, but does open things up a bunch. You’ll need somewhere to do pull ups early on, so that would probably be my first purchase.

My husband built us a home gym and it further solidified my feelings that (non married) men and women shouldn't work out together - if your goal is to actually work out. Not to be crude, but a man's testosterone is going through the roof while he's lifting. No matter what I wore in our home gym, my husband was all over me! Lol. I can't imagine how difficult it is for young men in a gym to be surrounded by half dressed women while working out.

nothing like the privacy of your own home, you don't have to smell smelly nigs, arabs or jeets around you and the equipment is actually clean (and properly air-conditioned)

yeah its a pain in the ass, i was using a Hotel gym some time ago and there was a lass doing Yoga (stretching) with... Yoga pants, out of respect i took my barbells to a corner so i can do my sets without being distracted
it was an awkward experience to say the least...
