kind of like large corps that calcify and are unable to make the correct changes. even if they know, and they setup a team to get it done. but they can't, because the organization's traditions and culture resist it at every step. constantly undercut and backstabbed.

while the smaller, more energetic and focused companies start to eat their lunch and pillage their best employees. leaving the larger company still large and slow, but now also completely incompetent, ready to be feasted on by progress.
