A couple of examples I think that represent this idea well:
* "No, I don't think Hitler tried to exterminate the jews. Thus, I am not a Nazi because I don't agree with Hitler on this point."
* "The Founding Fathers were wise but they weren't perfect. They wrote that the right to bear arms should not be infringed. What they should've written is anyone trying to infringe on such a right should be shot on sight."
* "Some of my favorite parts of the Bible include the parts where God commands good men to 'do something' about the wickedness around them. Tolerating evil is not a virtue."
