The family of Lord Moynihan of Britain has run a drugs/gambling/prostitution operation in the Philippines since the late 1960s. Duterte tried to shut that down but ultimately failed. The Moynihans were to ones who helped Marcos take $300 million of Philippine sovereign wealth offshore and hide it in the UK stock & bond market, after Marcos left the Philippines, the Moynihans promptly stole every penny Marcos had trusted them with.
