Strange he hit the only small wooden hut on top of a mountain. Also must have been going really fucking fast to have the cockpit end up in the basement. Was bad weather, could have been spatial disorientation and death spiral which would fit with the impact hole and speed. Cut the cabin in half.

Icing on wings is possible but those crashes tend to pancake in and not build up quite so much speed.
