Gog and Magog is something that happens after the 1,000 year reign of Christ. This has not happened yet of course, and will not happen until the very end of God's earthly reign with his rod of iron. We have not gotten to his earthly reign yet... in order to get to that period of the book of Revelation you have to get through Daniels 70th week, also known as the Tribulation and God's Wrath. Gog and Magog isn't really anything we need to be concerned about, because it's so far in the future. Jews aren't even a part of it. They're all being burned at that point.
If your an amillennialist like me and all other Catholics, the 1000 year reign is now, and honestly it very much looks like God has loosed Satan on to the earth once again to deceive the Nations. Also, Gog and Magog were generally used to refer to the Turkhics in the old testament as well, Magog is in the Table of Nations, listed as a Japhetite (and the Ashkenazis would fit the bill since the people living in the far north were generally considered Japhetites, the entire name of the Ashekanzis actually is a reference to the Japhetite Patriarch Ashkenaz)
I'm not a Catholic and I'm not super familiar with the amillennialist view, but would still encourage you and anyone else to look at it again.
Revelation 20 is extremely clear that Satan will be locked up for 1,000 years and will have seals put upon him so that he can interfere no more until he's loosed for the last time. There has been no past period in history in which satan has not had his hand in moving pieces on the board. In fact, satan at this point has never even been to hell. He was here at the time of Jesus, and is still walking in and on the earth today. Nowhere up to Rev 20 does it say he's even in the bottomless pit. Not to mention... If Jesus really is ruling with a rod of iron right now, it's not really what Revelation 20:4 makes it out to be, know what I mean? Even says that during the 1,000 year reign of Christ the people that refused the mark of the beast will be ruling and reigning with Him... That certainly hasn't happened yet. Just wanted to add this context in for you and for anyone that sees this, as I believe this interpretation to be correct.
Nah, Satan has been in and out of Hell for the past 2000 years, the Traditionalist view is that Christ's death saw the Devil's power over both Death and the World locked up and put away, thats why so many nations readily converted to Christianity. What we have seen over the past 500 years is that Grace being retracted and the devil regaining his hold over the hearts of men, and he has slowly rebuilt his kingdom on earth using the fake jews.
