Problem is that there wasn't many deportations in zognalds first term either, and resident bidet didn't bother to lower the numbers which have practically been the same all the time.

A local politician once said "people take election promises to literally, and that is a problem for us". If you as a politician promise something and then don't deliver, that's a lie in my book.

Deportations in a whole process, similar to the justice system. They have courts, holding facilities (basically jails), agents who track down illegals etc. Illegals can hide in many places and since they aren't registered in any system they're insanely hard to track down and arrest.

Ironically, countries that provide free gibs and housing for illegals have a much easier task to deport them as the government knows their exact location and movements at all time.
