This app probably installs a service deep into the system itself, so even if you remove the app, the spyware remains in there.

It's (((google))) on a (((smartphone))) so doing things like removing this stuff is probably like a drop of water in the desert.

I'm sure every phone comes with hardbaked spyware from multiple companies, especially jewgle

At least mainstream devices with proprietary software included such as iOS, Android or Windows phone. Few devices are legit. Librem for instance has physical switches and runs GNU+Linux, Fairphone is fully customizable, you can entirely remove the camera module and you can run almost any custom ROM for better compatibility with android apps.

However, if you really wanna be safe, just get a simple button phone from Doro, turn on only when in use and speak in code words like the mafia, assume it's always listening.

If you run a google phone* you are cooked anyway in that regard.

I recommend flashing Lineage OS on android. Can run on older phones too, though it requires some technical knowledge.
But even if you do that, never trust your phone to not spy on you, especially for things like activism.

It's only safe when you remove the battery, and you can't even do that on most phones these days u/#clown u/#clown u/#clown

Edit: *Probably any stock/unmodified (((smartphone))) actually.

GrapheneOS is another great option, device support is limited to the google pixel line of phones though. I recently switch to Graphene and so far it's worked well.

What I liked about Lineage OS is that I could even get it to run on my 10+ year old Galaxy S5. So I have a degoogled phone with removable battery on android 10.

Since it's so old, I had to compile the sourcecode for that version myself on Linux though, which needs about 450(!)GB of space just to spit out the rom at the end 😂
It took me like a week to figure everything out, but was worth it.

One thing to add though about old phones, it could be a bit tricky to find a good battery. I bought like 3 batteries thinking the phone had an issue, until I figured out it's because even "new" batteries have been sitting on shelves for years at this point.
Finally bought an extended battery with a larger case for the phone, which automatically is younger since it's an aftermarket part, and it works fine.

The only safe way to keep your phone from landing you in jail is to leave it at home.

Found it: https://x.com/NoI_Revenant/status/1893626692687495242/photo/1

Sure enough, was secretly installed on my phone. The app isn't even listed in the search results when you try and find it in the Google Play Store. Fucking kikes.

They can easily install things remotely that you cannot uninstall. Do you know what "rooting" your phone is? Its the process of breaking into the admin account of *your own device*. The whole thing is designed so that google has administrative control of your device, and you do not.

If you use a stock phone, they can and do track everything you do. Simple as.

Reminder never to buy a newer phone. I still have my samsung galaxy S9 and they stopped trying to update it after awhile and they stop making these apps for them. Phone still works great and battery is still going strong. Had this since 2018. You have to do alot of things in the admin system to help stop updates initially but totally worth never upgrading your phone.
