I learned about Vaughn Bode when someone on here compared my artwork to his so I looked him up to see what he was talking about. Bode was a cartoonist. His death horrified and sickened me more than any HP Lovecraft story I have read.

Comix is the name of the genre that Bodē fits in. Robert Crumb is the best known artist/author of that style. I don’t hate all of it, it’s kind of the evolution of the pulp zine, and there have been some interesting projects that were inspired by the comix style, like a lot of Ralph Bakshi’s animations. But it’s basically a degenerate genre by definition, it’s like the punk of the 60s art world.

I know a furry who hates troons more than I do.
