It's "easier", yes, but not impossible, even when you're destitute. All our money is fake, and we are not to be beholden to monetary strings.

Its probably even easier if your destitute, since they cant take anything from you, and probably why the Early Church had no issue speaking out against (((them))), since most Christians were poor with zero institutional backing the first few centuries.
