Thats actually what the Christian virtue of Meekness is. Not being a doormat, but rather being able to endure pain and suffering without flinching. Jews of course slowly twisted the meaning to being a complete wet noodle, when actual Meekness is a manly virtue (that is sadly rare in most men these days).
