Yeah, it's clearly written by someone who wasn't around in the 90s. 24 hour cable news channels were still pretty new and most people just watched the evening news on one of the broadcast channels back then. The claim that fox brainwashes the right wasn't really a thing before Bush regime changed Iraq.

I guess i got duped by this one

I remember Trump being a democrat. In fact, he didn't have lots of support in 2016 because no one remembered him or knew him to be a real conservative up to that point. His propped up primary opponents were spics Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio so he skated through the primaries anyways.

He was and still is a 90s democrat policy and belief wise, but the overton window has been shifted so far into degeneracy that he seems conservative.
