We don't lionize men of honor or of God. We don't cherish those who give their lives for others. Instead, we tell our children that they should strive to focus on themselves, always.
Not to sacrifice for one's family, but to sacrifice one's family, in the pursuit of greatness; greatness being defined as ability to generate revenue for corporations.
