Most of us here realize that none of these "wins" ultimately matter. We live in a country where the fundamentals, principles and rule of law from our government changes on a whim nearly every election cycle. Trump could deport thousands everyday he is President and it's inconsequential. If 4 years later the mudflood is opened back up when he's out of office. Allowing millions more to come rushing back in.

Because politics are downstream from culture.

It only flips back in four years if the culture does as well. The whole point of the culture war is to polarize the people to allow these radical shifts; under normal circumstances, culture flows more or less in the same direction, shifting the Overton window. The Culture War allows them to lock said window while making it appear that things are changing.

These specific actions aren't wins, but they are showing that there is a serious cultural push for them. Keep that going and demand more. The point is for people to lay back and say "we've won", and then not pushing any farther.

Keep pushing and you can throw them off balance.
