I too have a "contraption" to bypass charging stations... an internal combustion engine.

EVs in general suck, but the reason for this is that salvage-title EVs are blacklisted from supercharger access due to battery safety concerns.

You get blacklisted for third party repairs too but you sign an agreement allowing Tesla to do this for any reason.

If I don’t own the car after purchase, I don’t want it.

You do own the car. You just don't own the chatging stations not in your home and don't own the software service of the stations

lol so this guy could potentially fuck shit up? I don’t know if that means he could blow up the charging station or the Tesla could light on fire but that’s what I’m imagining

That's the exact risks we're dealing with. For comparison, all the safety you'll find at a regular gas station comes from over 100 years of learning from catastrophes. The smoking ban for instance didn't come to place until someone actually did smoke and blew up an entire gas station.

EV chargers have no safety regulations yet. It's only the companies themselves who don't want to get sued. Their cost calculations shows that it's cheaper to run some cloud servers and basically ban anyone who tries anything they don't approve of currently, like charging over 80%, high voltage charging on an old battery and stuff like that which all poses a risk.

People are idiots, and semi smart people will always try to bypass any restriction. Which is why any product requiring externally enforced restrictions is retarded, and should not exist in the first place.

Once again, for comparison. A regular ordinary gas station is an establishment, they have their own rules about size of vehicle, no smoking and things like that. They also have fire suppression systems and other safety features. Any vehicle that can comply with those basic rules are welcome to roll in and fill up. No remotely imposed restrictions needed.

I've got a solution for that and I will give it away for free. Sell that e-waste clunker and get a V8 powered car.

Or a diesel. If you got a long commute and want a beater then diesel is your best friend. I’d ride motorcycles if I could but it’s suicidal if you have to go into the cities.

Scania 770R, best V8 diesel you can get. Also burns with high enough compression that you don't need an EGR in the US which means it will last for ever as it doesn't have to eat it's own emissions like every other truck.
