Exactly. So many people who claimed they would *never* fight for the government would readily do so with just a slight shift in propaganda. They just couldn't think of the scenario until it happened.

For example, how many people would now readily sign up to fight a war against Mexican cartels under Trump's leadership? You only need a few years of that for joining the military to be "cool" again and then you ride that wave of people signing up from essentially peer pressure to conduct the real war you want.
