This is about energy sources?

No amount of explanation can fully Express how much I hate wind turbines.

At the most basic level, if they were a good idea, the government wouldn't have to subsidize them. Further more, no one want to live around them, 20 years ago, they were a novelty, now they're an eyesore on the landscape. Because of this, the only way they ever get installed is by under the table money.

Also, I seriously doubt that by the time their useful life has been passed, that there will be enough money left to restore the land to the way it used to be. At best, the turbines will be completely dismantled and the concrete bases ground down 30" below the soil surface, at worst, the scrappers will come by and take the copper and iron and leave the rest of the crap laying around for future generations to deal with.

All of this because some town people wanted to "gO gReeN" by pissing away tax payer money for their environmental crusade because they're CERTAINLY not going to go without air conditioning, or walk to the grocery store.

As for solar power, South Korea but up 12,500 solar power stations, and they had to cut down 2.3 million trees to do so.
