It's relevant to American immigration as the people doing it were not native-born, but immigrants from all across Europe. The parallel with modern times is that America has experienced waves of no-good foreigners coming here that were swiftly dealt with by the govt. It was a secret organization full of militants, Freemasons and jews, that had a heavy presence in Serbia and in lower Manhattan shortly before WW1, they were an extension of jewish mafia (Italian mafia too, since they were partnered back then). The black hand was responsible for the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand which kicked off WW1.
I swear I used to have some screenshots on my phone that talked about Gavrilo Princip being a jew, he was the black hand member who assassinated Ferdinand. Go figure when I search for that info on ANY search engine, I can’t find anything other than sites who say “no, Gavrilo Princip was not Jewish”. What search engine did you use to find that? And of course it’s true, this pattern of jews causing national and international problems isn’t something new. But what I had a long time ago was a screenshot of princip’s lineage, and his mother was a jew if I remember correctly.
I kinda assumed that the ones who started WWI had some jewish/freemason ties, but there being an actual (((secret society))) behind the whole thing is news to me. I wonder if that political cartoon is meant to be a double entendre to imply both subversives and greedy opportunists would be taking advantage of the New Colossus.

It's probably that the Continental Europeans are celebrating that the riff-raff and trash are leaving for America. The Black Hand is not the centerpiece of this cartoon, but rather emblematic (in the eyes of the cartoonist) of the character of the type of people who left for America.
It symbolises Italian criminal gangs who practiced extortion and exported it to the states from the late 19 century on. Basically the sopranos as it went on to become a completely accepted culture within America... Other characters symbolise murderers, thieves etc and the types of character the cartoon insinuates moved out of Europe to the USA
