I want to grow something during the winter in a small garden in our yard. What's the best plant for the cold months?

It depends on where you are and what type of soil you have, etc, etc...

There should be a local gardening club. Ask them. They'd probably help you find good things to plant for your situation.

Otherwise buy those cheap seeds at the hardware store. They have instructions on the back.
