I was literally about to say “just enjoy a nice cigar” but you beat me to it. Citronella (lemongrass) oil also is killer for keeping mosquitos away if you get a high quality oil

I've tried concentrated lemongrass oil and, though it did keep them from landing and biting, they were still swarming around me in concentrated numbers. It was like a cloud of mosquitoes surrounding my head but the lemongrass oil kept them only few inches away. It was nerve racking and i couldn't take it. The net provides me better peace of mind. I buy them in packs, camo color, and they last a long time and don't tear. I wear bucket hats or sunhats to keep sun off me and off my face and neck.

What about those stupid dragonflies-on-a-stick that people were wearing only 2 months ago or so? Were those actually functional?

the fake dogs and wolves on boat docks seem to work to keep seagulls away. Also the fake owls in gardens seem to work keeping rabbits and squirrels out. dragonflies on a stick? LOL i doubt it.
