I mean globally, sure. It sure doesn't seem that way here in America, where despite being 13% of the population, they make up the majority of the towers we see in our everyday lives.

I have been looking for stats on this, and the stats generally confirm that White average height beats out blacks by around 0.4 inches, but I can't find anything on the distribution, as I suspect there are more outliers amongst blacks.

Where do you live? Blacks are average height where I am. I see tall black guys but I see more tall white guys.

Zone 7 metro city on the east coast. I don't get out much anymore so I don't know if things are changing.

Same. I see mid size blacks often and rarely super tall ones..the giants just get snatched for NBA at a young age and so on TV we see tall blacks and assume they all are. Same with dark haired Spaniards because of Penelope Cruz and Del Toro.

Americans are less healthy than europeans and are usually of majority anglo-celtic descent, and the British isles is one of the shortest places in Northern Europe.

In Northern Europe, Central Europe, and the balkans, people are very tall. Americans are just unhealthy and most come from a root population that already wasn't amazingly tall to begin with.

The shortest whites are mediteranneans, insular celts, and Northern slavs. The tallest are nordics, germans, Dutch, other northern slavs (singificant variation in this group), southern slavs (except bulgarians), and other central europeans
