I dont get why boomers feel the need to leave the country or state to vacation at all. Theres plenty of interesting stuff within a few miles in most areas, just go into the woods if you want to experience nature.

I agree for the most part, but for me at least, there’s something about the freedom of just hoping in a car and driving across country to stop wherever the fuck along the way if it looks interesting. It’s like exploring but now you’re an adult and can open up your exploration vastly. I haven’t actually done this yet, but I intend to one day soon. Ther are certain places like NYC I would never step foot in, but I do want to see some things in the country. I’ve always wanted to check out MRM, and the Grand Canyon with my own eyes to name a couple.

What part of the country are you from? I always took living a few hours from the Grand Canyon for granted.
