I don't think you guys fully comprehend what we are dealing with.

At the heart of Marxism is not a specific idea about things, or even an idea about how things should be. It's the idea that reality itself should be rejected and replaced with a new reality entirely formed from imagination. It is the idea that the only reason we cannot substitute reality with our imagination is because there are people who relentlessly cling to reality.

Take the ideas about transgenderism. What would compel a person to say gender is completely subjective? Simply put: They reject the reality of sex and biological reproduction. They insist that through modern technology we can change a man into a woman. They insist that the only reason we are unsuccessful in doing so is because of bigots who refuse to believe the fantasy.

Socialism is a similar sort of thing. Not the sort of socialism that Hitler was talking about. He insisted that the individual should be the focus of society and the economy. No, the sort of socialism that says that the individual should disappear and be replaced with special interest groups all vying for control of limited resources.

Communism isn't what you were told by your conservative thought leaders. No, communism is the farcical idea that if we just believe hard enough we can eliminate all wants and property and everyone can truly be equal.

Colonialism or rather anti-Colonialism is more of the same. Just because a country is wealthy and overflowing with abundant resources is no reason for them to establish cities and nations overseas, and incorporate poor and starving populations into their colonies.

What else? Racism or rather anti-racism is the idea that race exists but it doesn't exist, and it matters but it doesn't matter. As long as one person is better than another the only explanation can be that it's because of racism.

Fundamental to all of these ideas is the core central concept that just because someone wants something we should all join hands together so that they can achieve it, no matter what it is or whether it is consistent with reality. If they can't achieve the impossible, it is because of people who insist that reality is real and they must be eliminated in order for the dream to come true.

What sort of nonsense is this, and why is it so hard for white Christians to comprehend it? It is the sort of nonsense that Jesus roundly condemned. It is the sort of nonsense that killed Jesus. It is the sort of nonsense that Jesus warned his disciples would forever separate them from the world.

Those who believe that they can achieve whatever they want if they just believe hard enough, and that reality is merely a speedbump, a temporary obstacle -- find these people and you'll find your enemy.

You cannot negotiate with reality. It will always win.

OK, here's a longer reply.

> if you have enough faith in God he'll heal all illness blah blah blah

You really should read the Bible. Anyone who reads the Bible and says "Oh God just does all the miracles all the time for everyone!" has very poor reading comprehension.

This is a mature topic for a lot of people, so I won't try to spoil your infantile mind, but I'll ask this question anyway and set you on the right path. The question is a simple one: "If God can perform miracles, why doesn't he do it all the time?"

Here's another question: "What does 'faith' mean?"

> While it's somewhat encouraging that Christianity means so little (or so much) that its followers are all over the political spectrum, that's also a serious problem with the text. There's an agonizing lack of clarity.

You're talking about protestantism, not the rest of Christianity. They are messed up BECAUSE they treat the Bible as the guidebook to Christianity. None of the other major sects do that. Not the catholics. Not the orthodox. Just the protestants.

They screwed up royally, and they were too autistic to understand how it was they screwed up. When they substituted the Bible as their God, they left Christianity and started worshiping the exact thing Christ told them NOT to worship. They became the pharisees that Christ roundly condemned for worshiping a text and not the living God.

We didn't really have a problem with this for 1500 years because no one ever even conceived of the idea that the Bible should be the most sacrosanct thing in the entire world. No, for 1,500 years Christians worshiped Christ first and only and last and in between. The Catholics and Orthodox will be more than happy to explain to you how they maintained the faith for so long if you'd stop listening to the protestants for five minutes and pay attention to what they have to say.

> You need to read more Bible. Turn your analytical eye against the "rabbi of reconciliation" and study the Bible until you stop believing it

You don't understand what I believe and you have no idea what I found in the Bible. Unlike the protestants, I never worshiped the Bible as God and I never will. That said, it contains valuable information about God and God's dealing with mankind. There's tons of wisdom in there even for people who don't believe supernatural stuff is possible.

The more you study the Bible the less you believe it but the more you understand God and gain actual wisdom. Wisdom, see, was the grand prize our ancient ancestors pursued. Not knowledge, WISDOM.

> liberals and Christians are similar

Protestants ARE liberal. They don't understand it. They're the reason why "conservatism" has become liberal. It used to be a bunch of catholics who defined conservatism. Did you notice almost all of the conservative supreme court justices are catholic?

Once the protestants started to see conservatism winning, they took it over and turned it into protestantism all over again.

The way protestants deal with criticism is exactly what you are describing and what you hate.

Next time you find a Christian you hate, ask them what church they go to. I guarantee you 100% of the time it is a protestant. If you run into an actual catholic or a mormon or whatever else that isn't protestant, you're going to change your opinion of christianity.
