Indeed. I think that people's conditioning has made it so that either a) you expect this rat-like behavior so it's not weird or b) you're so afraid of saying anything bad about the tribe that you forget it as soon as you see it.

What if it were Catholic priests or Amish coming out of tunnels? That stuff would be mainstream meme material.

Absolutely. "B" all day. People are subliminally trained to fear and recoil at noticing. Just note the extreme reactions White people have to being called "racist" or "antisemitic." Even in cases where it's absurd or illogical. That's why it's important to notice when and where we can; to break this mold, disrupt the pattern, and make them actively aware of their own operant conditioning.
