I'm thinking that half the egregious shit they push on us is only so that they can roll back irrelevant positions when they need to calm everything down. It's the same concept with "always on sale" clothes stores. The clothes actually retail for 100%, so they price them at 200% then give you 45% off so you feel like you got a deal.
