I was once with my wife when she was my girlfriend and we were in the city. I saw a guy around my age with a "baby bjorn", like a front harness for a guy so they can carry their kid around.

I was immediately pissed.

"I'll never be that guy." I said. "Look at that. So stupid."

My wife has brought this up to me years later as proof that I didn't want kids, to which I tell her that I've wanted kids my whole life. What I realize now, after having my own son who is literally the love of my life, is that I was pissed seeing that because deep down I wanted to be that guy I saw that day. I wanted to carry around my own child in a front harness and experience the joy of fatherhood.

By the grace of God, I did end up having a child and it's the greatest blessing I've ever received, one that I am thankful for every single day of my life. My only regret is that I didn't have more children.

So yeah. I think this "I hate kids" thing is a massive cope, and that's coming from experience. If you've ever thought that you wanted kids in your life, please, have them. It doesn't matter if you think you're not ready, or you think it's hard, or you think you can't afford it - whatever. None of that matters I swear to you. You will make it happen and it will be fine.
