Fake and gay. The cops would throw this case out the window. In almost every state, lethal force has to be used reasonably or be equivalent to what the person breaking in could do to you. Even in Texas. One shot point blank with a 12 gauge shotgun already killed the dude, 4 more shots into a cadaver is going to make them hang you out to dry in court, especially if you're white.

i don't think the "no magdump rule" is always enforced, if you have kids in the house the judge (esp in a southern state) isn't going to send the father into a rape cage because he went a little "overboard" on making sure the assailant is properly ventilated
granted i could be wrong but in states like Florida it totally passes if the person says "I feared for my life" or something along those lines

Besides, the justice system is so thoroughly jewed that I doubt he would have gotten off scot free unless he ended up with the only 2 based cops left in the US. They would have at the very least tried him
