There were quite a lot of movies with White alpha students bullying beta nerds in high school during 80's-90's. They called them nerds, but today they would be called autistic incels. Does anybody know why Hollywood was making such movies, and if they were based on real high school life, or if it was just propaganda?

Alphas didn't do the bullying. When you are secure in your manhood, you do not feel the need to prove yourself to your inferiors. It's like that line from Mad Men "I don't think about you at all."
