There were quite a lot of movies with White alpha students bullying beta nerds in high school during 80's-90's. They called them nerds, but today they would be called autistic incels. Does anybody know why Hollywood was making such movies, and if they were based on real high school life, or if it was just propaganda?

It’s to make the neurotic Jew the hero of the American story. The stuffy ‘all-White’ fraternities and country clubs being a prime target of Jew kvetching. The 1980’s nerdling/obnoxious ‘free spirited’ schlock artist wins out over the White Anglo Saxon Protestants dontcha know.
