It’s a fallacy I have yet to name, but basically if I told the majority of people:
> Don’t walk through a minefield, it’s very dangerous.
You can bet a massive majority of them ***would not*** say:
> Well not all land mines explode!
No, they don’t, not *all* of them. There are duds but that doesn’t mean it’s now a great idea to lay land mines throughout your society and it’s suddenly “safe.”
Same goes with race.
> We shouldn’t allow foreigners here, it will have detrimental effects on our society.
> Yeah well I know (insert ethnicity) guy and he’s great!
In WWII those in charge of American bomber command ran a study on where they should up armor their bombers and studied damaged planes that came back and where they got hit.
This would produce that image, and it’s where we solidified the concept of survivorship bias. The bombers that got hit in the shown areas actually made it back, so they should up armor the not shown areas.
For this meme it shows that the immigrants he’s worked with aren’t the HB1 unwashed Jeet hordes here to replace him.

Survivorship bias.
