u/FuckYourBullshit - That wasn't even his point btw. He either played stupid, or rather was stupid to try to make a point. It is a minor error in his notation. What probably happened is that he copy-pasted the result from the calculator, which used comma.
To clarify, his MATH was not wrong. It was just a little notation error. I mean we are talking about fucking a / b = c. How dumb does someone have to be confused over that? Well, aside from u/ScallionPencake.

And yes this stuff matters. The difference between 1,000 and 1.000 are extremely significant in any real life application. It would simply be wrong to suggest otherwise.
