The ancient indo aryans were not drinking cow piss or bathing in cow shit. They just respected cows in the same manner as anglos respect horses. Then people who would be considered dalit became brahmin and the rest is history.
Imagine if Christianity was brought to Haiti exclusively and Haitians were its only practicioners. It would be a pretty fucked religion today if that were the case. That's hinduism. It was taken by an inferior race that eventually replaced the superior one that brought it in, and it was isolated for thousands of years from any other noble people practicing it.
